This Privacy Policy describes how NomadLink ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Tempo ("the Service"), a Slack application for team celebrations and engagement.

1. Information We Collect

Information from Slack

When you install Tempo in your Slack workspace, we collect:

• Workspace Information: Slack workspace ID and name
• User Information: Slack user IDs, display names, and profile pictures for users who interact with Tempo
• Channel Information: Channel IDs where Tempo is used
• Message Content: Celebration messages and associated data (recipient, sender, GIFs selected) sent through the /celebrate command

Information You Provide

• Account Preferences: Settings and configurations you choose within Tempo
• Billing Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment information is collected and processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details.

Automatically Collected Information

• Usage Data: How you interact with Tempo, including features used and frequency
• Analytics Data: We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymized, cookieless usage analytics to improve the Service

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process celebrations and generate leaderboards
• Send automated notifications (weekly summaries, milestone celebrations)
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Respond to your requests and provide support
• Analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service Providers: Third parties who assist in operating the Service (Stripe for payments, Supabase for data storage, Vercel for hosting)
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices:

• Data is hosted on Supabase with encryption at rest and in transit
• Multi-tenant architecture with Row Level Security ensures workspace data isolation
• We use secure HTTPS connections for all data transmission
• Access to production systems is restricted and logged

5. Data Retention

• Active Workspaces: We retain your data for as long as Tempo is installed in your workspace
• After Uninstallation: We retain your data for 90 days after you uninstall Tempo, after which it is permanently deleted
• Billing Records: We retain billing records as required by law (typically 7 years)

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your data
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Objection: Object to certain processing of your data

For EU/EEA Users (GDPR)

If you are in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• We process your data based on legitimate interests (providing the Service) and contractual necessity
• You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
• We will respond to data subject requests within 30 days

7. Data Deletion

To request deletion of your data:

1. Uninstall Tempo from your Slack workspace to stop all data collection
2. Email us at admin@nomadlink.tech with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and include your Slack workspace name

We will process deletion requests within 30 days and confirm completion via email.

8. Children's Privacy

Tempo is designed for workplace use and is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify workspace administrators via Slack.
